A US snow plough driver has been fired after he taped a video of himself laughing maniacally as he buried cars in snow.
The video shows Mark Hussey pushing snow banks back during a blizzard in Massachusetts earlier this month and joking gleefully as he dumps snow on top of cars in the process, the WCVB network reports.
"Oh, I'm sorry, was your car down there?" Mr Hussey can be heard saying.
"You want to find your car? You come see me. I'll let you know where your car is — maybe."
Mr Hussey uploaded the video to YouTube where it went viral.
The snow plough driver, who goes by the nickname "Dogg" told local radio station WZLX-FM on Friday morning he was not worried about losing his job.
"My boss loves me," he said.
But by the end of the day Mr Hussey, who was described as "evil" and "sadistic" by shocked viewers online, had indeed been sacked by his employer RSG Contracting over the video.
"My boss fired me from the best job I ever had in 30 years driving a truck," Mr Hussey said.
"It was a stupid two-minute video."
"This morning I apologized to the city manager, but it was too late," he said.
But Mr Hussey is not the only one to have lost his job after oversharing work antics online.
Last October US executive Adam Smith was fired after he posted a video of himself belittling a fast food drive though worker.
And staff members at US chain store Walmart got the sack after sharing video footage of themselves gleefully throwing iPads around a storeroom.
