Lagarde hopes IMF role in Europe will win praise

  AFP - IMF chief Christine Lagarde hopes the new Greek government "will hold" and that "one day" the Fund's action in Europe, currently the target of criticism, will be appreciated, she said in an exclusive interview Thursday with AFP.
Lagarde also said that any potential International Monetary Fund aid to Egypt "will not be enough" to meet the struggling country's needs, and called "unfair" multinational company schemes to avoid taxes.
