Maltese least to complain about their health
People from Malta are the least likely in Europe to say they have health problems that limit their daily activities.According to a Eurostat survey, in 2011, 88 out of 100 people questioned said they were fine. In contrast, only 64 percent of Slovenes did. The EU average was 75%.
The survey found that men reported fewer health problems than women. The average difference was some five percent.
However women live longer and older people have more health problems.
The European Commission estimates that 80 million people, one in six people, have a disability.
Of them, some 30 million people are blind or partially sighted. There are 750,000 users of sign language and five million wheelchair users in Europe.
