A man accused of infecting two women with the HIV virus has died, the Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed.
A court case against Henry Assumang, 35, was suspended last week due to his ill heath.
He had denied two counts of inflicting grievous bodily harm on the women, who he met in Basingstoke but who cannot be named.
A CPS spokeswoman said the alleged victims had been informed of Mr Assumang's death.
On 1 August the CPS applied for court proceedings at Winchester Crown Court to be suspended following "new medical evidence" concerning his health.
The CPS said the medical evidence "clearly shows that Mr Assumang is unable to enter a plea or stand trial at this time".
Mr Assumang, of Coppice Pale, Chineham, Basingstoke, was accused of having sexual relationships with the two women between 2007 and 2010 after meeting them in the town.
He pleaded not guilty to the two charges in January 2012.
The case was originally listed for trial in June last year until concerns about his health were raised before the court.
