Activists said up to 30 Syrian civilians were killed in a bombing near the Turkish border
The video shows the aftermath of what opposition sources
said was a barrel bomb filled with TNT dropped from a Syrian aircraft.
It shows people assisting the injured, including children, after such a
bombing in Salqeen, providing another graphic example of the ongoing
civilian toll of the conflict. Opposition fighters have said the
government is using the improvised weapon with greater frequency.
Salqeen, here spelled Salqin.

The video was posted under a headline in Arabic that identifies the people injured by shelling in Salqeen, and provides the date of the incident as October 1. It is similar to other videos showing people evacuating the injured, collecting remains or extracting the dead from rubble in the town. | The details could not be confirmed, such as the precise time and place, although videos show immense damage to what appears to be civilian homes there. There is no final accounting of casualties, although opposition sources report at least 30 dead, and attribute the destruction to barrel bombs. | This footage shows damage to buildings, presumably civilian homes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Y_1GSe-ltlA. Another video shows graphic footage of a man mourning his son. The headline says the cause was a barrel bomb. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwrSVF6aFXQ |
