Delaware State Police: Suspect in fatal shooting found dead inside Milford home
MILFORD, Del. — Delaware State Police say the suspect in a fatal shooting has been found dead inside a home in Milford.
Troopers were called to the home Sunday afternoon after a 72-year-old man was found shot in the yard of a home on Williamsville Road. The man was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital where police say he was pronounced dead.
Police say a 42-year-old man who was a suspect in the shooting
of the older man barricaded himself in the home and police tried to
contact him to persuade him to surrender. Police say when members of the
special operations response team entered the home Sunday night, they
found the man dead.
Police did not immediately release the names of the two men, pending notification of next of kin.
