Daniel Mansell, 33, from Leicester, pleaded guilty to burglary at Loughborough Magistrates' Court and is due to be sentenced on 25 September.
Mr and Mrs Ferrie have been bailed pending further inquiries.
Joshua O'Gorman, 27, also charged with burglary, did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to appear before magistrates on 14 September.
Arrested at hospital Police were called to the house, near Melton Mowbray, at 00:26 on Sunday when Mr Ferrie, 35, told them he had fired at the group and they had left.
He and his wife, 43, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Four men, aged 23, 27, 31 and 33, were then arrested at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The 23 and 31-year-old men have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Welby farm shooting: Man admits burglary
A man has admitted being involved in a burglary at a Leicestershire farmhouse during which two intruders were shot.
Andy and Tracey Ferrie were arrested at the farm, in Welby,
after telling police they had fired a legally-held shotgun at a group of
