A FRENCH airport in the city that will host England’s Euro 2016 clash tomorrow has been evacuated after fears there was a bomb in one of the terminals.

Soldiers in the city of Nice screamed at people to leave the building as soon as possible after a suspicious package was found.

An eyewitness tweeted an image of concerned-looking people outside the airport

Three Lions fans travelling to England’s knockout last 16 match against Iceland on Monday were in the airport at the time of the evacuation.
One person reported hearing a small explosion after the terminal building had been searched.
They told the Mail Online: “There was the sound of a small explosion inside – the military is in there – it is believed they exploded luggage.”

Another person in the airport at the time said: “We had to leave the airport. They were screaming at us in French to get out.
“Then there was the sound of a small explosion – like a pop.”
Therese Rein, the wife of former Australian prime minister Alex Mytton, was also in the airport in the time.
Made in Chelsea star Alex Mytton was also one of those who had to be evacuated from the building.
It is understood the airport has now been reopened.
